God had strict requirements for Israel about where and how they were to make sacrifices. This shows that God desires that we offer him exclusive worship and honor the gift of atonement he has given to us. Though we do not take sacrifices to a physical location as we worship in spirit and in truth, we must still worship Christ exclusively, turning away from all other idolatrous and worldly worship. We must not dishonor the blood of Christ, but rather joyfully give thanks for Christ’s sacrificial death for us on the cross. Let us honor Christ’s gift by believing it for salvation!
