Host a college student
As the school year begins again, our church is excited to welcome many returning and new college students. One way we can bless these young people is by having them over to our homes for a meal, for fellowship, and even to give a place to study. If you are a member at Tedemption Hill and are interested in hosting a college student in this way this fall, or if you are a college student interested in experiencing this type of care from our body, please sign up by clicking the appropriate link below.
September 5 - Ladies Bible Study
We will begin a new ladies’ study on Saturday, September 5 at 9:00am. This year we will be studying Conscience by Andrew Naselli and J.D. Crowley. This resource walks through the Bible’s teaching about the often overlooked reality of our consciences, describing what they are and how we should use them. To prepare for the study, please pick up a copy of the book and read the foreword, preface, and chapter 1. We hope you’ll join us!
September 6 - Church Plant Meeting
As we continue to prepare for planting a church in Topeka, we are going to begin meeting on the first Sunday night of each month to discuss plans, answer questions, and work towards God’s purposes for our church. The first of these meetings will be on Sunday, September 6, at 6:30pm at Redemption Hill. If you are interested in participating in the church plant, we especially encourage you to attend, but we also desire anyone in our church to join us as we work together towards this goal.
September 11-12 - Men’s Campout
All men aged 16 and up are invited to join us for a free men's campout September 11-12 at JB Trading Co Campsite near the Buffalo River in Ponca, Arkansas. We will camp, eat, hike, and spend valuable time talking around the campfire. Whether you’re an avid outdoorsman or not, you’ll enjoy this time together as men. September 20 - Board Game Youth Event
Join us on Sunday night, September 20, at 5:30pm for our next youth event. This month we will gather to enjoy a variety of board games, eat a meal, and spend time discussing how God's Word applies to our lives. Please RSVP to this event by email to notify us how many from your family will be attending.
September 27 - Church Picnic
We invite you to join us on Sunday night, September 27 at 5:00pm to enjoy a church picnic. Weather permitting, we’ll meet outside to enjoy a potluck dinner, yard games, and great fellowship. This is a great opportunity to deepen your relationships with others in our body as you talk over a meal or toss a frisbee around. We will provide paper products, plasticware, and drinks. We ask that families bring enough of a main dish to feed your family plus one, and that those attending as individuals bring either a side or dessert to share. Please bring a few lawn chairs and/or a blanket for yourself as well.
October 9-11 - Anchored in Hope College Retreat
Flint Hills Bible Church is hosting their yearly college and young adult retreat from October 9-11 at Youthfront Camp West in Edgerton, KS. This year the theme of the retreat is finding hope in the God of hope, who transcends our circumstances and inspires each of us both to receive and to give hope. The cost to attend the retreat is $100, and registration will be open until October 5.
October 17 - Stand Firm Conference
Ascend Church in Olathe, KS is holding a one-day event called the Stand Firm Men’s Conference on Saturday, October 17, from 8:00am to 3:30pm. The conference aims to challenge men to follow Christ’s example of mature manhood. Pastor JD will be speaking at this year's conference.
