announcements

Here are a few upcoming events and announcements we want to spotlight for you.

May 3 - Ladies’ Study

Our ladies are invited to come on Saturday, May 3 at 9:00am as we continue our study through Ecclesiastes, utilizing Living Life Backward by David Gibson. To prepare for this month's meeting, please read chapter 9 and be ready to talk through the questions at the end of the chapter.

May 4 - VBS Informational Meeting

On Sunday May 4, about 15 minutes after the morning worship service, we will hold an informational meeting for about 30 minutes in the commons. We’ll use the time to cast our vision for this ministry, give details on how the week will run, and describe the theme of the week. Whether you’ve signed up to help or just want to learn more about VBS, we would love to have you join us.

May 4 - Prayer Meeting

One of our greatest needs as believers is to communicate with God in prayer, and we have the opportunity to do that corporately on the first Sunday of every month. Please join us on Sunday night, May 4 at 6:00pm at the church as we come to God with petition, adoration, and thanksgiving.

May 17 - Men’s Theology Group

Our men are invited to join us on Saturday, May 17, at 7:00am as we continue our monthly study at Redemption Hill Church. We will finish discussing The Greatest Fight In The World by Charles Spurgeon, so please read chapters 2 and 3 in preparation.

May 18 - Church Picnic

We invite you to join us on Sunday night, May 18 at 5:00pm to enjoy a church picnic. Weather permitting, we’ll meet outside to enjoy a potluck dinner, yard games, and great fellowship. This is a great opportunity to deepen your relationships with others in our body as you talk over a meal or toss a frisbee around. We will provide paper products, plasticware, and drinks. We ask that families bring enough of a main dish to feed your family plus one, and that those attending as individuals bring either a side or dessert to share. Please bring a few lawn chairs and/or a blanket for yourself as well.

May 25 - Youth Event

Join us on Sunday night, May 17, at 6:00pm for our next youth event. We will enjoy an activity, eat a meal together, and spend time discussing how God's Word applies to our lives. Please RSVP to this event by email to notify us how many from your family will be attending.

May 31 - Church Work Day

Mark your calendar for a church work day on May 31 from 9:00am-1:00pm. Everyone is invited to come prepared to work on tasks both inside and outside the church building. We will be cleaning, shoveling, clearing up some exterior areas, and knocking out as many projects as we can. If you’re able to come, you’ll also enjoy the unique blessing of serving alongside other believers in your church. Lord willing we will see you there!

June 1-6 - Teen Camp

Countryside Church offers a week of youth camp each summer for those entering grades 7 through 12. This is more than just a weeklong fun getaway, but instead is a spiritually challenging and encouraging experience for our teens. This year the camp will focus on God’s design for the church and the unity that He calls us to as his people.

Camp will run from June 1-6 in Denton, Texas this year. Pastor Philip Johnson from Countryside oversees this week of camp, and Pastor Scott Nicoll and Pastor Otto Skoog will speak during the camp. All counselors and staff will be members of Countryside or Redemption Hill Church. The cost is $345 per student, and scholarship money is available for any who need it. For further details about registering or scholarship money, please reach out to Pastor Steven. Registration is only open until May 4th, so don’t delay!
