January 3 - Ladies’ Study
We will continue our ladies’ study this Saturday, January 3 at 9:00am. This year we are studying Consider the Lillies by Jonny Ardavanis, a book about how meditating on God’s character can help us to trust him in the midst of life’s trials. To prepare for this month’s study, please read chapters 6 and 7. We hope you’ll join us!
January 4 - Bunco Youth Event
Join us this Sunday night, January 4, at 5:30pm for a Bunco night! Teens will face off as they roll dice throughout the night to see who will come out victorious. In addition to spending time in competition, we will enjoy a meal together and spend time discussing how God's Word applies to our lives. Please RSVP to this event by email to notify us how many from your family will be attending.
January 10 - Men’s Theology Group
Our men are invited to join us on Saturday, January 10, at 7:00am as we begin a study through the book Conscience by Andrew Naselli and J.D. Crowley. This book will give us an opportunity to see what Scripture says about our conscience and how to train it biblically. We encourage you to pick up a copy of the book and read the preface and chapters 1-2 before our first meeting.
January 16-17 - pARENTING ON pURPOSE cONFERENCE
Countryside Church is hosting the Parenting On Purpose Conference on January 16-17. This event will focus on providing practical tools, biblical wisdom, and encouragement for raising children. It will focus on discipling younger children, navigating the teen years, preparing for an empty nest, and understanding your role with adult children. If you want to go deeper into some of the topics we covered in Sunday School this year, or if you missed our parenting series, this would be a great opportunity. Registration is $44, which includes breakfast and lunch on Saturday. To find out more, or to register, click the button below.
January 18 - Youth Book Study
Once a month, our youth group will meet to study through the book Respectable Sins by Jerry Bridges. This resource walks through what Scripture says about many categories of sin that we tend to gloss over and not treat very seriously. We hope it will be a beneficial time of learning how to view sin the way God does. Our next meeting will be on Sunday night, January 18, at 5:30pm.
