JD Summers

JD was called in 2010 to serve as an associate pastor at Countryside Church in Overland Park, KS, serving in a variety of pastoral capacities and preparing for church planting. In 2014 Countryside sent JD and his family, along with a committed team of members, to plant Redemption Hill Church.

JD has a bachelor's degree in biblical languages and is currently working on a graduate degree from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City. He has been married to his wife Sara since 2005, and they love being parents to James, Grace, Olivia, and Elijah.

Steven Parkin

Steven Parkin answered God's calling to serve as pastor at Redemption Hill in 2021. He and his wife Bradi were part of the original planting team, moving to Lawrence in 2014 to help start a new church. He has faithfully served in worship ministry, as deacon chairman, and has been involved in ministries of teaching and discipleship since day one.

Steven studied at the University of Nebraska and Calvary Bible College (where he met his wife). He worked as a middle school teacher and then in the mortgage lending industry before transitioning to full-time ministry in 2021. He and Bradi have been married since 2011 and have four children; Ruby, Primrose, Belle, and Judah.
