The Fifth Commandment: Honor Your Father and Mother

As God moves from commands focusing on our relationship with Him to commands focusing on our relationship with other people, he leads off with a command about parents. Children in the home are called to obey and respect their parents' God given authority. Grown children are called to honor, love, and care for their parents at any age. And parents are called to love and nurture their children in a way that points them to Christ. Let us honor God by honoring our parents!
