Mediators of Worship

Exodus 28-29 | JD Summers

The priests of Israel served a crucial role for the nation. They represented the people before God because the people themselves could not stand in his presence. God consecrated the priests and gave them a specific way to atone for the sins of Israel. The priests mediated the Old Covenant, and Jesus mediates the New Covenant, bearing the sin of all who believe in him, atoning through the sacrifice of himself, and interceding before God as the Great High Priest. May our hearts burn within us as we consider our glorious mediator, Jesus Christ!
