Jesus does not allow compromise. Those who compromise are not making a small mistake, but are rebelling against the resurrected Christ, and they will experience judgment as insurrectionists. But those who hold fast and do not indulge in the lie that engaging with sin is acceptable, Christ offers a glorious reward - not only does Christ promise that we will share his authority, Christ offers himself to us as a reward. What better reason do we have to pursue faithfulness and purity!
