Blessing Through the Coming King

As Jacob blesses his sons in Genesis 49, he draws special attention to the nature of those who receive blessing by highlighting Judah and Joseph. Judah's repentance and Joseph's faithful endurance were pathways for God's blessing to them. This blessing ultimately comes through Judah's greater descent, Jesus, the King of Kings who will reign in eternal, universal, peaceful dominion. Today we can partake in the blessing offered in Jesus by placing our faith in him and repenting of our sins.
