Mexico
A drought in the area where Brian and Danyel Warne are ministering has caused significant issues for them and for their congregations. The lack of water reached critically low levels last week, resulting in difficulties for everyone living in the area. Additional water has been brought into the area to help alleviate the issue, but the drought is anticipated to continue until July when the normal rains begin to fall.
Brain and Danyel ask that we pray for the believers in Sinaloa as they endure this trial. Pray also that there would be enough water to take care of their needs, even for upcoming baptism services in Mochicahui and Los Mochis on Sunday.
The entire Summers family will be flying down to visit the Warnes this week. Pastor JD will be teaching and speaking at multiple services, including a special service for the church plant in Los Mochis which Redemption Hill has been supporting this year. The church will be accepting their first members and will be baptizing several people at the same time. Pray that this will be a blessing to all involved and that God will be glorified in the growth of his church!
How to pray
Pray that God would continue blessing Iglesia Biblical Redencion, specifically blessing their upcoming baptism and membership service.
Pray for the Summers as they travel to Mexico this week that they would have safe travels and would both bless the believers in Mexico and be blessed by them.
Pray that God would provide enough water for the needs of the people in Sinaloa while they endure this drought.
Pray for current pastoral residents Tony and Yosimar and potential future pastoral resident Cesar.
Pray that God would continue to strengthen and grow the churches in Sinaloa.

Brazil
God has continued to give the leaders in the church in Brazil a vision to spread the gospel to the Portuguese-speaking world and has been blessing their efforts to do so. Roger is planning another vision casting trip to Portugal for a small group of Brazilian men and women who are considering moving to Portugal to plant churches. One of these people is Pastor Gersom from Maceio, Brazil who will be taking his wife along so they can see if God would have them move to Portugal. Two others are members of the church plant in Aracaju, Marcos and Fernando. Pray for each of these people as they seek to pursue God’s leading.
Recently many of the believers in the church in Aracaju gathered at the Johansen’s house to celebrate a Brazilian holiday. The picture below shows those who were able to attend.
How to pray
Pray that God would use this upcoming trip to Portugal to give direction to those participating and to further the spread of the gospel around the world.
Pray for Pastor Roger and the rest of the leaders would have wisdom in utilizing the blessings God has given their church. Pray that God would use the people in their body to continue growing their own church and to plant other churches in Brazil and throughout the Portuguese-speaking countries in the world.
Pray that Pastor Roger would have strength and patience to continue enduring his pre-Parkinson’s symptoms and that doctors would have wisdom and skill in diagnosing and treating it.
Pray that Crystal would be pain-free until she can have her gall bladder removed this fall.
Pray for the children of the Johansens and the Maias as they study:
Juliana Johansen as she finishes her first year of college in West Virginia.
James Johansen as he studies in high school in Aracaju.
Marcos Maia as he studies in a Bible School in the Amazon.
Pray for the leadership in Aracaju:
Pastor Roger Johansen.
Pastor Eriomar Maia.
Pastor Marcos.
