What should we expect from our elders? And how should we pray for them? Peter helps us understand the role of an elder as a pastor and overseer, one who leads the flock through the ministry of the Word and through his own example of godliness. The role of an elder is a high calling as men work as under-shepherds of Jesus Christ, caring for his beloved bride. As we in the church follow the leaders God has given us, let us do so with Biblical love and affection, supporting their ministry as they point us to our Savior.
