Death, Burial, and Forward Looking Faith

When Sarah dies, Abraham's mourning is followed is by a faith-filled act of purchasing land to bury her in the land in Canaan. Confidence in the future fulfillment of God's promises compels us to walk by faith in the present. This eternal perspective does not disconnect us from the present, but instead infuses the present with hope that enables us to trust, obey, and worship no matter what our circumstances.
