Violation and Vengeance

When Dinah is violated by Shechem, Jacob is passive but his sons respond with anger and brutality. The shocking ugliness of this dark stain on Israel's history reminds us that only by God's grace will the plan for redemption move forward, and only by faith can we respond rightly to the evils we face.
