The Spirit of Christmas

Though we speak of the Spirit of Christmas in reference to feelings of love and good cheer, we should also remember the role that the Holy Spirit played in the events of the first Christmas. The Spirit prepared the way for Christ, performed the miracle of the virgin birth, and empowered Jesus throughout his ministry. The Spirit continues his life-giving work in us today, extending the power of God in bringing us to salvation and growing us in holiness. Let us rejoice in the true Spirit of Christmas!
