The Doctrine of Salvation

The Philippian jailer asked Paul and Silas, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" This is truly the question of the ages, a remarkable question that reveals an understanding of his need, a realization that the power of salvation lies outside himself, and the necessity of personal response. Paul and Silas answered by pointing him to Jesus, for salvation is found only in the person and work of Christ.
