The Compassionate Power of Christ

What does Elisha have to do with Jesus? Much like the prophet’s miracle of raising a widow’s son from the dead in Nain, Jesus does the same in a town just next door. But while the comparison is obvious, Jesus is much greater. Jesus' compassion is extravagant, and the power of his word is overwhelming. How wonderful is the great prophet who comes to us in our need, cares for us as he understands our sorrows, and reigns supreme over death!
