The Baptism Of Jesus

Matthew 3:13-17 | Carey Wilson

Why was Jesus baptized? He had no need to repent of sin, as baptism usually signified. Rather, he was fulfilling all righteousness by submitting to the sovereign plan of his Father, symbolizing that he was willing to follow the path from the banks of the Jordan to the cross of Calvary. Let us behold the Son of God, the suffering servant, our brother, Jesus Christ.
