Surprising Grace
Why do shocking stories like the tale of Judah and Tamar belong in our Bible? In these stories we are forced to look straight at our own reflection - we see the ugliness of sin and the reality of the curse. But that is not all we see; it is against the dark background of such depravity that we are able to see the triumph of God's grace.
