Reconciled to God

The message of the gospel is that all people have sinned and fallen short of God's standard. Sin alienates people from God, and leads them to hostility and evil deeds. But Jesus' death on the cross provides a way to make peace. Jesus provides reconciliation. This peace is available to all who turn to Christ in faith and repentance. Receiving the gospel is not a momentary decision with no ramifications. Believers must persist in their belief and repentance, trusting in God throughout their life. And God is faithful to bring all true believers to the end and present them holy and blameless before him.
