Love Came Down

The birth of Christ displays the immensity of God's love. God is love, and the depth and character of his love is shown most clearly and fully in the coming of Christ to live, die, and rise again in our place. The incarnation powerfully matches God's love with his sovereignty, showing that as he orchestrates and ordains everything, he does it all for our highest good. Praise be to God that his love for us prompted him to send his only son, that whoever believes in would not perish but have eternal life with him!
