Christmas aS War

In Matthew 2:13-23, three events following Jesus' birth are said to fulfill three Old Testament passages. Jesus, the long promised Messiah, is the seed of the woman who conquers the serpent, Satan. However, this victory comes through pain, suffering, and death. Jesus took our place, bore the wrath we deserved, and humbled himself for our sake. At Christmas, remember the loving sacrifice of Jesus.
