On Sunday we looked at James's exhortation to respond to every circumstance of life with prayer. This is the "exhale" of faith in the life of the believer. Have you been quicker to pray this week? Have you taken opportunities to not only ask God for help, but also to intercede for others, praise God for his goodness, and confess sin? Let's keep our eyes on the One who hears and answers as we pray to Him in faith.

Our text for this coming Sunday is James 5:19-20. Read this final word from James and consider:

  • What does it mean to "wander from the truth?"
  • How do we bring such people back?
  • Is this text addressed to pastors, or the whole church?

Please pray for the preaching of the word, that the Holy Spirit would powerfully work in our hearts to convict us of sin and convince us of grace. Pray that our church, though scattered, would be united in the truth and filled with brotherly love and longing.

Here are the songs we will be singing this week. These are provided so you can familiarize yourself with any songs that are new to you, and to provide Christ-exalting music to encourage you this week.

  • Glorious and Mighty
  • Only a Holy God
  • Here is Love (Grace Takes My Sin)
  • All I Have is Christ
