This past Sunday we considered the priority of worship in relation to the church. Worship is what we were made for, what we were saved for, and must be acceptable to God. Were you challenged to think differently about personal and corporate worship? Let's prepare our hearts this week to come Sunday and give ourselves to God-centered, Christ-focused, scripture-saturated, whole-hearted worship.

Listen to The Priority of Worship

This week we will be considering the final focus in our series on the mission of the church - the necessity of relationships in the church. As you prepare your heart for worship this week, take a few moments to prayerfully consider Romans 12:9-18 and ask yourself the following questions:

  • Why does Paul take so much time to exhort people to relate to one another in these ways (love, honor, hospitality)?
  • Which of these commands is hardest for you to apply in the context of the local church?
  • What would your relationships in the church look like if you gave yourself fully to applying these instructions more faithfully in your own life?
  • Who in your life has been a model of this faithfulness and how has that blessed you?

Please pray for the preaching, praying, and singing of God's word on Sunday, and let's ask that He would do abundantly above all that we could ask or think.

Below are the songs we will be singing together on Sunday. Use this as a resource to learn unfamiliar songs, to meditate on Christ-centered truth throughout the week, and teach your children songs that will fill their minds and shape their hearts.
