Last week we looked at the role of Scripture in our mission. We need God's Word to direct and sustain us as we seek to follow the Lord. Scripture is authoritative and sufficient, and it is of utmost importance that we remember this. If we are to glorify God by being and making disciples of Jesus, we must value and embrace the Word with all our hearts.

This week, think about whether you treat Scripture as authoritative. As sufficient. As necessary.

Listen to The Priority of Scripture

This week's sermon will focus on worship. We are all called to worship God individually, but the church is also called to worship God corporately. It is important that we understand why and how we are called to worship. So to prepare for this Sunday, read Hebrews 13:15 and consider the following questions:

  • Why do we worship in church on Sunday?
  • Why do we worship the way we do?
  • What is the Biblical basis of our worship?

Let's pray that God's word is clearly proclaimed and received on Sunday. Pray for believers to be encouraged and strengthened, for unbelievers to be drawn to Christ, and for God to be glorified in all we do.
