Although we do not have a Reflect section this week, there are two things we can prepare for on Sunday.

First, in Sunday School, the Mexico missions team will share testimonies from their time abroad. If you don't normally come to our Sunday School class, we invite you to join us at 9:30 to hear what God did on the trip and what he is doing in Mexico through the Warne's ministry.

Second, in our main service, JD will be continuing his series on our mission. This week we will be considering the authority of Scripture. Our view of Scripture is essential to following God's mission. Downplaying or neglecting Scripture is disastrous. To prepare for this Sunday, please read 2 Timothy 3:14-4:5 and consider the following questions:

  • What descriptions of Scripture does this text have?
  • What does it mean that Scripture is breathed out by God?
  • What responsibilities are outlined in the text?
  • What other types of authority might challenge the authority of Scripture?

Let's pray that God's word is clearly proclaimed and received on Sunday. Pray for believers to be encouraged and strengthened, for unbelievers to be drawn to Christ, and for God to be glorified in all we do.
