God not only demands exclusive worship, he demands right worship. We must worship according to his design, not according to the design of the world around us or the desires of our sinful heart. What we think about when we think about God is the most important thing about us, so let us conform our view and worship of God to what he lays forth in his Word.

Listen to "The Second Commandment: Right Worship"

This week we will hear from Pastor Mike Summers from Countryside Church in Olathe. He will be speaking from Acts 20:18-35, a passage that records the Apostle Paul’s final words to the Elders in Ephesus. To prepare your heart for this time in the Word, read these verses and think about the following questions:

  • What does Paul list as the marks of his faithful ministry?
  • What do you expect from a pastor? What does this passage say to expect?
  • What application can a layperson take from this passage?
  • How is the Church described in this passage?

Please pray that God would use the preaching of his word to feed the faith of his people. Pray that we would united in the truth, sanctified in the truth, grounded in the truth. Pray that those who do not know Christ would come to him for eternal life.
