New Song: He Will Hold Me Fast

undefined

Life is often fraught with situations that overwhelm us. We are constantly battling to trust Christ in the midst of temptations, testings, and trials. But throughout it all, God promises to be with us and to care for us. As 2 Thessalonians 3:3 says, "The Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one." "He Will Hold Me Fast" reminds believers of this truth and helps us place our faith in Christ who has promised to be faithful to us.

He Will Hold Me Fast

When I fear my faith will fail
Christ will hold me fast
When the tempter would prevail
He will hold me fast
I could never keep my hold
Through life's fearful path
For my love is often cold
He must hold me fast

He will hold me fast
He will hold me fast
For my Savior loves me so
He will hold me fast

Those He saves are His delight
Christ will hold me fast
Precious in His holy sight
He will hold me fast
He'll not let my soul be lost
His promises shall last
Bought by Him at such a cost
He will hold me fast

He will hold me fast
He will hold me fast
For my Savior loves me so
He will hold me fast

For my life He bled and died
Christ will hold me fast
Justice has been satisfied
He will hold me fast
Raised with Him to endless life
He will hold me fast
Till our faith is turned to sight
When he comes at last

He will hold me fast
He will hold me fast
For my Savior loves me so
He will hold me fast

He will hold me fast
He will hold me fast
For my Savior loves me so
He will hold me fast

New Sunday School and Time Change

We are excited to embark on a new ministry at Redemption Hill, the addition of a Sunday School hour to our Sunday morning meeting time. Starting September 30, 2018, we will be gathering at 9:30 AM to hear teaching from God's Word. This means that our Sunday morning worship service will now begin at 10:30 AM.

This fall our Sunday School will feature a membership class, going over who we are as a church, how we got here, and our direction going forward. This membership class will be our only offering this fall, but at the start of the new year we plan to begin an adult Bible class and add a children's class for ages elementary age kids. At this time we are not able to offer a nursery during Sunday School, it will only be available during the worship service.

New Song: Cling to Christ

undefined

Ephesians 2:8-9 says that people are saved by grace through faith, not by any works they can do. Grace comes through faith in Jesus Christ, and this faith is not a one time mental assent that has no bearing on the rest of life, but is rather a constant trust in Jesus. The song "Cling to Christ" describes the depth of blessing that comes from holding fast to Christ in the midst of life's difficulties.

Cling to Christ

Father, I can come to You
And boast of deeds I’ve done
In my pride I strive to earn
The favor Christ has won
He alone pleads my acceptance
All my works aside
So I come with empty hands
And I cling to Christ

VERSE 2
Father, I can go astray
And battle needless fears
Voices tell me I’m condemned
And that I can’t draw near
But Your Spirit calls me homeward
With Your words of life
Jesus bore my every sin
So, I cling to Christ

BRIDGE
It’s more than I can do
To keep my hold on You
But all my hope and peace
Is that You cling to me

VERSE 3
Father, all my earthly aims
In time will turn to dust
Let me learn that loss is gain
For those who know Your love
All the treasures of this world
Will never satisfy
You alone are endless joy
So, I cling to Christ
